Often called the “Pashupatinath of the East,” this unique cave shrine honors Lord Shiva and carries deep mythological lore (including lore about demons and Lord Shiva’s protection). Pilgrims visit during major festivals like Shivaratri and Teej.
Abhishek & Darshan (45 minutes – 1 hour): Performed to seek Lord Shiva’s protection, purification, and spiritual strength. Devotees gain courage, inner peace, and relief from fears or negative influences.
Special Shiva Puja / Sankalpa (1–1.5 hours): A focused ritual conducted with a specific intention such as health, prosperity, protection, or spiritual upliftment. It invokes divine blessings to overcome obstacles, remove negativity, and ensure overall well-being.
Cave Darshan & Offerings (Optional, 30–45 minutes): Performed inside the sacred cave to connect with the energy of Lord Shiva, enhance devotion, and receive blessings for longevity, peace, and success.
Our pilgrimage to Lumbini, Namo Buddha, and Boudhanath was perfectly curated. The calm pace, knowledgeable guides, and serene accommodations allowed us to meditate and reflect in true Buddhist spirit.
