Manakamana Temple is a famous wish-fulfilling shrine dedicated to Goddess Bhagwati (a form of Durga). Devotees believe that sincere prayers here lead to fulfillment of heartfelt desires, health, prosperity, and protection from obstacles. The temple is perched on a hilltop, accessible via cable car or trek, and is a central site for devotional offerings and rituals.

Special Pujas/Rituals & Duration with Purpose
  • Manakamana Puja (1–1.5 hours): Performed to invoke the goddess’s blessings for wish fulfillment, protection, and spiritual growth.
  • Goat/Animal Offering (traditional) (30–45 minutes): A traditional offering for removal of obstacles, fulfillment of vows, and divine protection (optional, based on custom).
  • Special Sankalpa Puja (1–1.5 hours): Ritual performed with a specific intention, such as health, prosperity, family welfare, or protection; invokes divine grace to fulfill personal or family concerns.

Duration:

  • Darshan Only: 1–2 hours (includes cable car travel and darshan).
  • With Special Puja: 3–4 hours (includes pujas, offerings, and darshan).
